Two Lake Forest High School sophomores will carry a national distinction into their final two years as Scouts.
Bridget Dacy and Sarah Griffin earned 2026 USA Lacrosse All-American honors, District 115 announced Tuesday, June 23. The designation recognizes the top high school lacrosse players in the country, selected through coach voting administered by local area chairs under USA Lacrosse's national oversight.
Dacy and Griffin are among more than 500 girls selected nationally each year across all states — a pool that spans every competitive lacrosse program in the country. The honor requires both on-field excellence and academic performance, making it one of the more complete recognitions available to high school players.
What makes the achievement notable beyond the honor itself is the timing. Both players are sophomores, meaning they earned national recognition before their junior seasons — typically the year college programs begin recruiting in earnest. With two full seasons remaining at LFHS, the distinction could raise their profiles significantly in the college lacrosse landscape.
The Scouts enter the 2026 season with momentum behind them. The program was ranked No. 2 in Illinois heading into the year, and last season's team reached sectionals before falling 6-8 to eventual state champion New Trier. Dacy and Griffin were part of that run as freshmen.
LFHS lacrosse has built a reputation for producing All-American talent on both sides. Four boys players earned the honor after the 2025 season, suggesting a program-wide culture of individual excellence alongside team success.
