Sixteen college golf programs tee off Monday, Sept. 28, at Onwentsia Club as Northwestern hosts the annual Windon Memorial Classic on one of Lake Forest's oldest courses.

The 54-hole tournament runs through Tuesday, Sept. 29. Two rounds begin Monday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., and the final 18 holes Tuesday use rolling tee times starting at 8 a.m.

The field includes 11 programs that finished last season ranked inside the top 100 of the college golf rankings. Charlotte, the No. 20 team in the final 2025-26 standings, headlines the group. Notre Dame (No. 32), Kansas (No. 39), Washington (No. 45) and host Northwestern (No. 50) round out the top five seeds.

Cal Poly, Georgia Southern, Indiana, Kentucky, Marquette, Michigan State, Minnesota, Oral Roberts, Penn State, South Florida and UC Davis complete the 16-team draw.

The Wildcats' lineup features Kuan Zhou, Monty Holcombe, Jeremy Chen, Rowan Sullivan and Carter Gaede, according to Northwestern Athletics.

Kansas head coach Jamie Bermel said he expects a demanding test at the par-70, 6,716-yard layout.

"I don't know a lot about Onwentsia, but I'm certain it will be a lot like the courses Northwestern typically host on, with fast sloping greens, tight bent grass fairways and a lot of trees," Bermel told Kansas Athletics on Sept. 26.

Founded in 1895, Onwentsia is one of the oldest private clubs in the country. The course hosted the 1906 U.S. Open, the 1899 U.S. Amateur and the 1915 U.S. Women's Amateur, according to a Georgia Southern preview. Its tree-lined fairways and strategic bunkering offer what Minnesota's preview called "a unique test compared to many modern collegiate championship courses."

Last year's Windon Memorial Classic was held at Knollwood Club, also in Lake Forest.
