The Chicago Bears are taking practice on the road, and Lake Forest and Lake Bluff fans won't have to drive far to watch.
The team announced Wednesday, July 15, that it will hold a free public walk-through at Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire on Monday, August 10, as part of the 2026 Chicago Bears Training Camp by LRS. The event, dubbed "Varsity Bears," moves the team's scheduled walk-through practice from its home base at Halas Hall in Lake Forest to the Stevenson campus, roughly a 10-minute drive south in Lake County.
Gates open at 10 a.m. CT. The walk-through begins at 11 a.m.
Tickets are free but limited. Registration opens Thursday, July 16, at 10 a.m. CT through Ticketmaster on a first-come, first-served basis. All tickets are mobile-only and accessible exclusively through the Chicago Bears App.
The Bears said tickets are non-transferable and non-resalable, warning fans to avoid any third-party offers. Any attempt to resell could result in denied entry and permanent removal from the event, according to the team's announcement.
Beyond the on-field practice, the event will include family-friendly football activities, food and drink vendors, Bears retail, and appearances by Staley Da Bear. The Stevenson High School Patriots' gameday entertainment squad will also perform.
For Lake Forest families used to seeing the Bears' facility from Route 60, this is a rare chance to watch the team work through plays at a high school field.
The full 2026 training camp schedule is available at ChicagoBears.com/Camp and on the Chicago Bears App.
Ticket registration: Thursday, July 16, 10 a.m. CT via Ticketmaster.
