Bears quarterback Caleb Williams landed at No. 51 on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2026 list, a peer-voted honor announced Saturday, July 25, as rookies reported to training camp at Halas Hall in Lake Forest.

Williams didn't crack the list at all after his rookie year. One record-setting season later, NFL players across the league voted him the 51st-best player in football.

The numbers back it up. Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 draft, set a Bears single-season passing record with 3,942 yards in 2025 and posted 27 touchdowns against seven interceptions, ranking fifth in the NFL in that ratio. He led Chicago to an 11-5 record, the franchise's first NFC North title since 2018, and its first playoff victory since 2010.

Williams isn't the only Bear on the list. Defensive end Montez Sweat checked in at No. 91, giving the franchise two representatives among the league's best.

At 24 years old, Williams leads what ESPN analyst Aaron Schatz ranked as the NFL's No. 3 youngest roster heading into 2026, a core that includes wide receiver Rome Odunze and tight end Colston Loveland.

The timing of the announcement aligns with the start of Bears training camp at Halas Hall. Rookies reported Saturday, July 25. Veterans are due Tuesday, July 28, with full-squad practices running from Wednesday, July 29, through Thursday, Aug. 27. Head coach Ben Johnson enters his second season after guiding the club to the division crown in 2025.

Preseason games begin the week of Thursday, Aug. 13. The Bears will hold joint practices with the Bengals and Titans before returning to Halas Hall for the remainder of camp.
