Lake Forest College women's soccer rolled to a 6-0 win at Benedictine University on Tuesday, Sept. 8, with four different Foresters finding the net.

Midfielder Annabelle Schroeder opened the scoring in the 30th minute, breaking away after a Benedictine turnover in Lisle. Veronica Presberg, a 2025 Second Team All-Midwest Conference selection, then set up Schroeder's second goal in the second half before finishing one herself to push the lead to 3-0.

The Foresters kept pressing. Anna Diebold lifted a shot into the roof of the net in the 69th minute after a clearance error by the Eagles. Six minutes later, Presberg launched a free kick from 35 yards out that bounced over the Benedictine goalkeeper for her second goal of the night.

Senior Lily VanPelt capped the rout in the 89th minute, scoring off a rebound from outside the box.

It was VanPelt's first collegiate goal, according to the Foresters' game recap.

Goalkeepers Sara Swenson and Maddie Geasey split time and combined for the shutout, the team's second consecutive clean sheet of the 2026 season.

The three-time defending MWC champions, who were a unanimous first-place pick in the preseason coaches poll, have now matched last season's 3-0 start. Head coach T.R. Bell's squad went 21-1 overall in 2025 and reached the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Lake Forest hosts Concordia University Chicago at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at Mohr Field, then welcomes St. Norbert College at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Farwell Field.
