Lake Bluff residents can meet candidates running for local office at two public forums on Nov. 10 and Nov. 11 at Lake Bluff Elementary School.
VOTE Lake Bluff, a nonpartisan, all-volunteer organization, will hold Town Meetings on back-to-back evenings. Both start at 6:30 p.m. The first, on Tuesday, Nov. 10, features Village Board and Library candidates. The second, on Wednesday, Nov. 11, covers Park District and District 65 candidates, according to The Lake Bluff Chat.
The forums are timed ahead of the April 6, 2027, Consolidated Election. Residents can ask candidates questions and vote on endorsements for local boards. Candidates can also collect signatures on nominating petitions. The official filing period runs Nov. 16–23.
VOTE Lake Bluff Chair Paul Blahunka has described the organization's goal as creating a "one-stop shopping" experience for local civic participation, The Lake Bluff Chat reported.
More information about the endorsement process is available at votelakebluff.org. Residents can contact the volunteer organization at [email protected].
