Lauren Collander Interiors has moved its Lake Forest studio to 222 E. Wisconsin Ave., Suite 117, sharing the downtown space with Platinum Touch Industries, the design-build firm that constructed the buildout.

The new studio sits across from Hometown Coffee & Juice in the heart of Lake Forest's commercial district. It features an arched entry with custom wood detailing, a patterned ceiling treatment, high-gloss paneled walls, illuminated cabinetry and natural stone surfaces, all built by Platinum Touch.

Founder Lauren Collander said in a statement that the space gives clients a place to explore materials, review selections and collaborate with her team. She called the studio "an opportunity to surround ourselves and our clients with the kinds of details, materials, and craftsmanship that inspire us every day."

The two firms have worked together before. At the 2025 Lake Forest Showhouse, held at Pembroke Lodge and open for tours starting April 26, 2025, Platinum Touch built out Collander's "Ethereal Garden Pathway" design in the first-floor hall and stairwell. Veranda magazine featured the installation as one of three standout design trends from the event.

Platinum Touch Industries, founded in 2004 by Vince Gendusa, is based in Lake Forest with a second office in Chicago's Edison Park neighborhood. The firm has received NARI Remodeler of the Year awards and multiple Best of Houzz recognitions.

Despite sharing the address, both businesses will continue to operate independently with their own networks of builders, architects and tradespeople. Collander said the arrangement supports earlier communication between design and construction teams on shared projects.

Lauren Collander Interiors operates five studio locations and takes on projects throughout the Chicago area and nationally. Collander spent years designing boutique hotels internationally before launching her residential firm more than a decade ago.

The studio is open at 222 E. Wisconsin Ave., Suite 117, Lake Forest, as of Aug. 18.
