Lake Forest Day parade adds Deerpath Road segment for August 5
The 118th Lake Forest Day Parade on Wednesday, August 5, will follow a new route beginning at Deerpath Road and Oakwood Avenue and heading east through the Central Business District, and a free pre-parade family party at Market Square runs from 8 to 10 a.m.

City of Hope Cancer Center Chicago installed large-scale chalk art by cancer-affected artists at the Lake Forest Library and the organization's North Shore location on Hastings Road as part of its "Artistic Expressions of Hope" initiative, with residents invited to add their own chalk tributes and share photos using #HopeLivesHere.
